the bid price, usually returns 7% - 10% in reduced change orders and
oversights. In addition to the cost savings the owner ends up with a system
that actually does what he wants rather than a canned solution which might not
be the right fit but was easy to specify.

Overall system performance should be checked every few years and having
historical data readily available simplifies the re-commissioning process. The
re-commissioning process identifies opportunities for reduced energy costs that

areas, addition or removal of equipment and system operator changes that may
have been put in place as a temporary fix and never returned to normal
operation after repairs were made. These are very common examples of what
happens on a regular basis and can often provide no cost / low cost improvements
that can save substantial money spent on operating costs. In addition it can
provide for improved employee workspace conditions which can improve employee
performance and reduce maintenance request for hot or cold calls.
